Little Steps: Crafting a Brighter Tomorrow

How can we change the world if we are not united or if we aren't even tried?

Change is one of the things we want to achieve. Because changing may improve something that can make things easier. We have different desires and reasons why we want to change, but I know that we only have one goal: to have a better world for ourselves and for the next generation.

However, changing the world is as challenging as it seems. In today's century, the world is very complex because of social, economic, political, and environmental factors. It has so many big problems that sometimes we cannot come up with a good solution, which is very intriguing. And I just agree when they say that we cannot achieve change because of the people.

Many of us want to change the world, but it is not that easy. There are a lot of factors that we need to consider. But as a student, I have my own uniqueness in how I can change the world.

Firstly, I will start to change the world by writing. It seems that easy, but there is an impact on writing because writing is one of the most powerful weapons, not just the gun or sword, but a pen and paper. It emphasizes the power of knowledge and education—like how Dr. Jose Rizal chose this weapon to open the eyes of the Filipino to the cancer of society.

So, as a campus journalist, of course we use a pen and paper to write what we want to fight for so that we can be heard. I will try to use this power to change the world. The power of written words can affect social and political change, which maybe can help my fellow people start the change before it’s too late.

I will always use this power in good ways because that is my favorite quote by Martin Luther, which is “If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.”

And, despite being widespread, it has had a significant impact on addressing global issues such as trash management and the rise in garbage. Misuse of disposal is among the most prevalent issues. By addressing this, the world may be able to lower the rates of pollution and diseases that impact people, animals, and even plants.

I will make an effort to teach others and advise them to practice discipline as students. I'll make an effort to launch an advocacy campaign with an environmental improvement theme. As well as taking part in various endeavors that enhance our surroundings in order to live better and breathe better.

To consolidate, there are many ways to change the world, even if it is hard. We should try to remember that changing may seem hard, but it is good for us and can lead to a better life. And even if I only have two unique ways to make the world change, I will try to add, but I know these two have a lot of benefits for us to change the world. Because, as they said, life is short, so try to make a contribution to the world, even if it is simple, because it has a great impact on today and in the future.

Consequently, be a role model and try to have unique ways to change the world; even if it’s a little step, it will bring good tomorrow!
