Celebrating the Day of the Light of the Home in Filipino Way
As we acknowledge our mothers, one of the very special celebrations for honoring our dear mothers is Mother's Day. Mother's Day is not a simple celebration because it is the day when we can do very special things for our mothers so that we can tell them that we are grateful to them that they gave birth to us and that they are willing to sacrifice themselves for us.
Mother's Day is the day when we respect the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated in May in the Philippines, but in other countries, it is celebrated in March.
But how do Filipinos traditionally celebrate Mother's Day? It is very interesting because there are a lot of ideas on how we can show gratitude and love to our dear mothers.
Firstly, a traditional way to celebrate Mother's Day in the Philippines is to wish the mother a kiss and an embrace at the crack of dawn. It may seem simple, but I believe it is a sincere way to show mothers how much you value and care for them. That short message expresses so much gratitude, respect, and expression. Because it also recognizes the care, sacrifices, and unconditional affection that mothers usually give.
Second of all, giving them flowers is also one of the traditional ways to celebrate Mother’s Day here in the Philippines. The Philippines. Most of the pink carnations, which are a traditional Mother’s Day flower, symbolize a mother’s undying love. While White Carnation is their mom, she has passed away in remembrance. But some will give them money to buy bouquets, which they can use to buy anything.
Then, send letters and share a message across various social media channels. sending them heartfelt messages via various social media platforms and using letters to express gratitude and affection for their moms.
On the fourth, they go out to eat or just take a stroll in honor of Mother's Day. One of the most meaningful ways they can bond and make long-lasting memories is by spending time outdoors and taking in nature.
Last but not least, since Mother's Day falls on a Sunday, Filipinos find it particularly meaningful to go to church for mass, where they express gratitude to God for their mother's existence and ask for forgiveness and blessings. For the health and happiness of mothers everywhere, blessings and prayers are extended.
In conclusion, in the Philippines, Mother's Day is really important and special to them. This day is a way for them to express their love and gratitude for their mother. But remember that even if it is not Mother's Day, you should try to bond with your mother and thank them for what they all did. You should always make them feel special in many ways. Hence, don't forget to wish them a "Happy Mother's Day" and say that you are very proud of them because they raised you very well.
Don't forget to thank God for giving you the mother that every child should have.
