High School Day's Moments: Unforgettable and Chaotic Experience
On March 9, it was the moment that I felt that I was actually a high school student. Since it is the day at the Ilocos Sur National High School, the High School Day, and it is my first time experiencing this kind of celebration, well, I didn’t attend last year's high school day celebration, and during seventh and eighth grade it was modular, so there’s actually no high school celebration. During that day, I really enjoyed it a lot because of the different activities, programs, and booths that I went to. It was definitely a day that I will treasure the most in 10th grade.
The high school day celebration was first celebrated with a parade. It was a sunny day, so it was hot and very tiring—and I lost my voice, and it was hard to communicate because my voice was cracking. But before this, our class discussed that in the parade we should have only one colored cap, but we had different colors, so we didn't wear a cap. Anyway, the parade was actually fun, and we were aiming for something, but we didn’t earn it. It’s okay, at least we tried our best to aim for it.
Second, it was celebrated with the field demo. It was actually amazing because the boys won, which is shocking, and the girls just ranked third. Even if we rank third, at least I enjoyed performing, even if it’s hot and my brain is malfunctioning. However, I actually did a great job because the practice was hard, and I was worried that my props would be damaged, but I didn’t. I was happy because our teacher needed to check it. Well, during the field demo of the boys, I tried to cheer them on, but my voice couldn't—it kept cracking, and that sucked. But actually, I felt very happy watching various performances at different grade levels. And the dance of ninth grade girls really caught my attention because their music brings back memories of when we also performed that song last school year, but in a different version. And the tenth-grade boys dance caught my attention because of their props since it is very colorful, and their music and the dance are very addicting.
Before that, during the practices, our classroom was in chaos because some were just playing, singing, and sleeping, while others just brought their mats so that they could sleep comfortably. So that week was actually the best, funny, and memorable.

Third, our club also organized a booth, which is called “Booth ni Juan,” where we have different categories like the freedom wall, photo booth, selling crochet, and letters. This was also a chaotic moment; however, I made friends and made money since we tried to persuade others to come to our booth. And I enjoyed being in charge of selling, and it was nice.
And last, the high school day celebration ended with a concert. I like the songs they sing and the way they perform. Their music exudes passion and energy, and the crowds were cheering enthusiastically. I was among those who sang along, even though my voice was breaking. But at least I found it enjoyable and likable. And it was my first time experiencing this, like the concert itself, and it's all wonderful.
To sum up, high school day is a nice celebration to feel that you are a high school student. This is the event where students can enjoy being students, not just studying. High school day is a very fun experience. It was all enjoyable, even though it was tiresome, but I will always treasure it. And I am hoping that next school year I will also experience this and more activities so that they will be very memorable.
Hence, Happy 122nd High School Day ISNHS! Soar, Fly, Aim High, Ilocos Sur National High School!
