Another Year, Another Chapter: The Survival Show Resumes

On the last day of the beloved month of December, as the clock strikes twelve o'clock, another chapter in my journey from last year closes and begins anew in another year. As my eyes lit up because of the fireworks, all I could hear and see in our barangay was the cheerfulness, liveliness, and enjoyable celebration of the New Year. And that makes me smile, thinking that after all of the sacrifices and breakdowns during 2023, I managed to survive the previous year. I still manage to go on and hold on to my dreams.

There are a lot of memories from last year that I will surely treasure since these memories serve an important role in my life and will give me strength, happiness, and motivation to keep going in 2024. However, I also need to let go of some of the things in 2023 because letting go might help us step forward. Since 2023, I've had a lot of problems that have made me cry because of stupid things and have made me doubt myself or my worth. But the year 2024 is another opportunity. My main target for this year is to try to become a new and better version of myself, not like last year.

This year, 2024, many changes and challenges might come into my life since it’s impossible to remove them from it. Even if I hate changes and challenges, it might be the reason for a lot of self-doubt and how it will impact my life. However, I need to overcome that because this is a part of our lives. That can be a lesson that we may use in another year.

I also want to expand my knowledge and improve my studies so that my family will be proud of me, especially my grandparents, who are always supporting me in my activities and always cheering me on that I can do it. Honestly, I was disappointed in myself because of my grades; I didn’t manage the grades that I was expecting. But I know that I will try my very best to achieve the grades I was expecting. I also want to try new hobbies since last year I learned how to crochet things. I want to try new hobbies or expand my knowledge of crochet.

Moreover, I have a lot of expectations for this year, and I hope I will succeed in fulfilling them. I will also continue to develop my skills and talents that can help me. I will continually grow and be better. I am very grateful that I am still breathing and celebrating the new year and Christmas with my family. I hope that in 2024, my family and I will be able to celebrate it together.

Another year, another beginning that has a lot of opportunities. I hope I can be a better version of myself than last year. I promise to shine brighter in the future and make everyone smile.
