Flexibility of being Filipino

Typhoons, earthquakes, and floods are examples of calamities in the Philippines that Filipinos are able to fight with. The Philippines is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, so you can already guess that they face a lot of catastrophic battles. But even if the battles were really hard, they still didn’t lose hope and fought for their families, friends, and themselves. They face calamities like just one simple problem because they know that they can face it, and there are also people who will try to help them even if it's hard because "bayanihan" is part of the culture of being a Filipino. But do you know that it's not just all about the calamities? They also didn't lose hope in education or their personal lives; they just kept going until they succeeded because that's what humans plan to do—to be great and successful someday. We all know that education nowadays is very hard, especially for those students who have mental health illnesses and also for those students who have financial problems. But in the end, they still manage to smile and face the challenges with confidence for their future. And also, in their personal lives, it is really hard to become a Filipino because the problem here is the money. It is hard to find a job here in the Philippines that has a high salary, so the solution is just to go to another country to work there, even if it means you have to leave your family and face another life in a different country. And still, they still manage to come back, call their families, and smile at them to just say that they’re okay and that she or he can do it for them and for their family.

Resilience, or "katatagan," is one of the cultures in the Philippines. It is a psychological term that means to cope or to recover quickly from difficulties, and resilience can build because of the challenges that you face. So, being a Filipino means there are a lot of challenges that we face, but in the end, we can get over them or resolve them. You can show resiliency no matter what the problem is, as long as you have the strength and flexibility to face those challenges in your life. And if we want to be more resilient, it means we need to endure things in life, even if they're hard and challenging. As long as you are alive, it means you are resilient because you endure to wake up and face some events that happen in your life. And if you want to be more resilient, it means you need to take care of your life, because taking care of your life is also a challenge. So, we must think that we are strong and not fragile because we live. And remember that we are one; if you need help, many individuals will try to help you. You're not alone.

You can always say that Filipinos are great fighters because even if there's a lot of events that happen in their lives, they still keep going with a smile on their faces and just enjoy their lives. So be confident always, and try hard to endure all the challenges because, in the end, you have a person waiting for you. And you have a person who always trusts you, even if he or she knows that you want to give, but still supports you. We should not be overwhelmed by life's challenges and do everything we can to solve them all because it is for ourselves. Since, resilience is the key for success in life.
